Dear Superintendents, Curriculum Directors, Administrators and Teachers, Massachusetts Agriculture in the Classroom (MAC) and Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR) have teamed up to offer the first Agriculture Literacy Month in Massachusetts in October 2024. MDAR is funding 3,680 copies of "Farmer Eva's Green Garden Life" by Jacqueline Briggs Martin to be delivered to students in grades 2-5 throughout the Commonwealth. We are excited to bring this book and associated lessons to your classrooms. There is also the possibility of having a guest reader, MAC and MDAR Staff, Legislators, Community Leaders, Farmers, and maybe even the author or Eva herself, come and read to the students! We ask that if you have teachers interested in participating that you have them fill out the form  by September 15, 2024.
